Installation Method
Clipping System: The Metlok roofing system typically uses a clipping system for installation. This involves securing metal panels to the roof deck or substrate using specially designed clips. These clips allow for thermal movement of the panels, important in varying weather conditions.
Panel Alignment and Fastening: The panels are aligned along the roof, and the clips are fastened to the roof deck. The metal panels are then snapped or mechanically seamed over these clips.
Sealing and Finishing: Depending on the specific design, the edges of the panels may be folded or crimped for additional waterproofing and to secure the panels in place. Sealants and flashings are applied as needed to ensure a weather-tight finish.
