How this works
Square feet ↔ Squares uses the standard definition: 1 square = 100 sq ft. This conversion is the same for every deck profile.
Square feet ↔ Linear feet of panel depends on the profile's net coverage width — the actual width covered after side-laps. B-Deck, W2-Deck and W3-Deck cover 36" (3.00 ft) per panel, so 1 sq ft = 1 lf ÷ 3.00. N-Deck covers 32" (2.66 ft) per panel, so 1 sq ft = 1 lf ÷ 2.66. That's why the same square footage of N-Deck requires more linear feet of panel than B/W2/W3.
